Outdoor gear reminder: With the cold weather comes a lot of outdoor gear to put on and take off. Please encourage your child to independently put on snow pants and gloves, as well as practice zipping up jackets. This practice is very much appreciated!

This week we completed a guided drawing of a reindeer (un reno).

We continue to practice the family member vocabulary. If you haven't brought a family photo to school yet, please do so, as the children are orally sharing their families with the class. If you are unable to print, you can email it to me, and I can print it for you.

Some of the All About Projects (check your email/previous blog posts) begin before the holiday break. Please ensure you check your email for your child's presentation date.

Some holiday songs we've been listening to in Spanish:

10 pequeños duendes (10 little elves)

Copo de nieve (snowflake)

S-A-N-T-A

In math, we built number lines, using various representations of numbers.

This year Dalhousie School has decided to give back to the community by participating in the Salvation Army Toy Angel Drive. This toy drive is designed to bring cheer to low-income families with children aged 0-12. A box has been set up in the main office to collect donations. If you would like to contribute please bring your unwrapped toys into the office before noon on 15 December 2022.

We are in the last month before Winter Break.  A reminder that if your child will be absent for 5 days or more due to a holiday, an extended absence form must be filled out.  Please email dalhousie@cbe.ab.ca to request the form and have it submitted before your child’s absence.
